IBR Pterygoid
Implants
A prosthetically driven solution for the posterior maxilla by achieving anchorage in the Pterygoid region
A new generation of Pterygoid implant
In full arch and partial cases, the Pterygoid implant can avoid sinus grafting while achieving excellent stability and prosthetic axis. Southern’s Pterygoid implant adds another tool to the clinician’s armamentarium to enable optimal clinical outcomes.
MSC Coronal Section
The MSC section runs parallel to the crest and is engineered to reduce bacterial adhesion and risk of peri-implantitis.²/⁵
Microthreads and Cortical Grooves
To distribute the load in the critical cortical region.
–
V-Shaped Threads
For increased primary stability in trabecular bone.¹
–
Narrower Apex
Ideal for engaging the pterygoid process of the Sphenoid bone, especially in trans-sinus cases.⁴
–
–
–
–
Co-Axis® Enabled
36° angled prosthetic platform correction at implant level to provide ideal prosthetic screw emergence. While sealing the sinus floor from the oral cavity in trans-sinus cases.³
–
Bone Mill Fixture Mount
Prevents inadvertent loss of the implant in the infra-temporal or pterygoid fossa, adding to the safety of the procedure whilst preping the alveolar bone for abutment seating.
