An acclaimed Swedish implantologist and researcher, Prof Östman is a global authority on immediate loading protocols and implant stability. He is Assistant Professor at the Institute for Surgical Sciences, Gothenburg University, and holds DDS, MD, and PhD degrees. His highly cited studies on Resonance Frequency Analysis (RFA), ISQ values, and sub-crestal angulation have shaped clinical practice worldwide. A frequent international keynote speaker, he has developed rigorous diagnostic guidelines that enable practitioners to deliver immediate restorations safely and predictably.
Recognised as one of the UK's most qualified advanced dental surgeons, Dr Syed specialises in complex full-arch rehabilitation and rescue implantology. He qualified from The Royal London Hospital in 1999 and completed advanced training at UCLA and Dallas, Texas. A leading pioneer in managing severe bone loss, he is a specialist in All-on-Four / All-on-X, complex transnasal, pterygoid, and zygomatic implants. He has placed thousands of implants, holds the "Clinic of Excellence" award, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine. He lectures internationally for The Global Implant Institute and Nobel Biocare.
