A full-day course covering the complete immediate implant placement and restoration workflow — from treatment planning and extraction protocols through to prosthetic delivery. Hands-on with Southern Implants systems.
Immediate implant placement — placing an implant into a fresh extraction socket at the time of tooth removal — is one of the most clinically efficient and patient-friendly protocols available to the modern GP implantologist.
This full-day course walks delegates through the complete workflow: case selection and contraindications, extraction and socket assessment, implant placement, grafting, and the restorative phase through to final crown delivery. The course is presented in partnership with Southern Implants, with hands-on elements using the SP1, INVERTA, and Co-Axis® systems.
Suitable for GPs who have completed basic implant training and are looking to expand their scope into more efficient, single-visit protocols.
Identify ideal candidates for immediate placement and understand absolute contraindications
Plan the case using CBCT data and digital workflow tools
Execute atraumatic extraction and socket assessment protocols
Place the implant with correct 3D positioning for the immediate site
Apply grafting material to the jumping gap and manage primary closure
Understand immediate loading criteria and the restorative timeline to final crown
