Two Days of Intensive Learning
This intimate workshop brings together a small cohort of delegates for two full days of immersive implant surgery training in Botswana. Delegates observe and participate in live patient treatments, guided by Dr Yaseen Jadwat — one of Southern Africa's most experienced implant surgeons.
The workshop is deliberately kept small to ensure every delegate receives direct mentorship, meaningful participation in clinical procedures, and real-time feedback on technique and case planning.
Learning Outcomes
Observe and assist in live implant placements across a range of clinical scenarios
Apply systematic case planning: bone assessment, prosthetic planning, and risk stratification
Understand site preparation, flap design, and primary stability optimisation
Learn to manage intra- and post-operative complications
Develop confidence across the full implant workflow from diagnosis to loading
Receive direct mentorship and personalised feedback from Dr Jadwat
Two-Day Schedule
A detailed review of case selection, pre-surgical planning, radiographic assessment, and prosthetically driven implant positioning. Real cases are used throughout.
Delegates observe and assist in live implant placement procedures. Dr Jadwat narrates technique and decision-making throughout each case.
Continuation of live cases with increased delegate participation under direct supervision.
A relaxed review of the day's cases, lessons learned, and preparation for Day 2.
Further live cases including more complex presentations — immediate implants, ridge management, and multi-unit planning.
Peri-implant disease, mechanical complications, implant failure, and re-treatment strategies.
Delegates bring their own challenging cases for discussion. Dr Jadwat provides individual feedback and clinical advice on delegate cases.
Your Mentor
Dr Jadwat is a specialist oral surgeon with extensive experience in implant surgery, complex bone grafting, and full-arch rehabilitation. He is a faculty member and mentor at the LTD Mentorship Academy and principal surgeon at Southern Implants. His teaching approach combines rigorous clinical technique with practical, accessible mentorship that delegates carry confidently into their own practice.
