Title:  Utilizing Site-Specific, Advanced Implants for Full Arch Reconstruction: Hands-On Workshop

Description:
With the increased costs and patient morbidity due to bone grafting often required in full arch implant reconstruction, an increased patient resistance to implant treatment has been noted. In such patients with suboptimal bone volume, bone grafts can be avoided by placing site-specific zygomatic, angled and wider implants in available bone, ultimately optimizing and accelerating patients’ treatment. With good primary stability these implants can be loaded immediately for immediate reconstruction and immediate function.

In this workshop, participants will perform prosthetic treatment planning of zygomatic, angled and wide body implants and place angled and wide body dental implants on training models.

Objectives:

  1. Review and understand the digital workflow and implant treatment planning for full arch reconstruction.
  2. Understand the benefits of using site-specific zygomatic, angled and immediate wide body implants in full arch implant reconstructions with immediate function.
  3. Identify cases suitable for site-specific implants.
  4. Grasp the surgical techniques for the placement of angled and wide body dental implants.
